Information we handle

Depending on how you use Bites4You, we may process account information such as your email address and display name, food prompts you submit to the concierge, ideas you choose to save, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• Provide concierge suggestions and beverage-pairing requests.
• Maintain accounts, sessions and saved ideas.
• Detect errors, abuse and security problems.
• Understand service usage and improve the product.

AI and service providers

Concierge prompts are processed by AI and hosting services used to operate Bites4You. Bites4You also communicates with Sips4You™ when you request a beverage pairing. These services process information only as needed to provide their functions.

Device storage and preferences

Your dietary, flavour and alcohol preferences are saved in browser storage on the device you use for Bites4You. They are included with relevant AI requests, including a Sips4You™ pairing request, to tailor suggestions. Each app keeps its own device profile; preferences are not automatically synchronized between the apps. Clear browser storage to reset them.

Usage analytics may store a short-lived session identifier in browser storage to count visits. The identifier lasts up to 30 minutes. Browser storage may also be used for sign-in sessions, security and reliable service operation. Clearing it may sign you out or reset preferences.

Advertising and future Google AdSense use

Bites4You is preparing to use advertising to support this free service. Third-party advertisements are not active at present. Once enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalize advertisements. Third parties may place or read cookies in your browser or use similar technologies when advertising is served.

Learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at Google’s partner-sites information page. Where required, we will request consent before enabling relevant advertising technologies. Visitors in eligible regions will be offered applicable privacy choices, including options relating to personalized advertising and data sharing. We will not activate ads in regions requiring a Google-certified consent management platform until that platform is configured.

Your choices

You can choose not to create an account and still use the core concierge. Saved ideas require an account. You can remove saved ideas from your collection at any time.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention may vary by data type.

Children

Bites4You is not intended to collect personal information from children who are below the age at which they may independently consent to online services in their jurisdiction.
